From your description it seems that your gamepad is not broken, just out of power, you just need to buy a new Gamepad Charger.

OK here I go...
I have had my wii u for a long time now ( around 2 years ) and one day I came back home and wanted to play some Splatoon so I got on and started it but too my suprise it said the Internet connection wasn't there but my Internet connection was fine...
So I went into settings to check it out I tried everything above and I tired rebooting everything but nothing is working I am so confused and my little son is literally about to cry because he wants to play some MK8.
I have tested the Internet connection on the Internet connection test but it is working just when I try to go on to miiverse or anything that actually needs the Internet it doesn't work....
Please before my son erupts in tears and I have to help him TELL ME HOW!!!!!

I Currently Live in Norway, though the Wii U is bought in America. While I was trying to set up a Network ID, this came up. Is there any way for me to buy things from the Nintendo eShop in my current situation? If not, what would be neccessary for it to work?

I just had the same problem... I synced and resynced my controller multiple times and still no luck. It could be the game, since I just used the controller while playing hyrule Warriors prior to playing mine craft.
I've got an odd issue that is happening with my New Super Mario Bros U save game file. Let me explain the timeline of events so you all are aware and maybe someone can help me sort this issue out.
I have the New Super Mario Bros U / Luigi U on the same disc. I've been playing this game for some time and defeated SMB U and had lots of progress on Luigi U. This was all saved to my WIIU without any problem.
Sept 2015 - My dog eats my SMB U / LUIGI U disc.
Oct 2015 - I buy a new SMB U / LUIGI U disc. I can see my save game file is still on my WIIU so I am not concerned. When I put in my new disc, the game does a big update. Seems fine. When I open up the game and start to play I don't have any of my progress saved. I find this to be very odd. I go into data management and I now have 2 save game files for this particular game. I can see my saved progress from Sept but my new save file has the large update with no progress.
I tried deleting the new save game file (with update) and started the whole process over again but the same results happened. For some reason it's not recognizing my old save game files. Is that because we got a new disc? It seems that should not matter at all. Does anyone have any suggestions? I tried deleting the new save game file and update and then I disabled the WIFI so it would not do an update. Well that did not work as it would not even let me play the game without downloading this update. I'm hoping to get this fixed for my son. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
