Library/Marketing/Expansion Suggestion

Greetings the hardworking folks at Nintendo,

LONG time fan, first time posting. Now this idea came from a multitude of thoughts on the current state of the company and the current history of the Wii-U. But what really brought me here was a video I saw on Humble Bundle website. The video in question is the "Paper Monsters Recut" trailer. The interesting thing about this trailer was the fact it was for the Wii-U version and not the Steam version. That got me thinking on why Steam and Origin are the only library databases that give out keys. From here on out, when I refer to bundles games, I am only referring to the actual games Nintendo and the Humble Bundle both have in their respective libraries.

I would like you folks to go to that website and look at the sales history for every one of their bundles. Why haven't you guys jumped in and offer keys to sites like this? I'm not saying jump into every charity they post about, just the ones you support. I'm not advocating this one charity site, it's just an idea and the Humble Bundle was just the easiest one I could think of. Here are some of the advantages of such an endeavor:

  1. This would encourage new members to purchase a Wii-U.
    • People who go buy these bundles would unlock the Wii-U versions of the game even if they don't have a Wii-U. The advantage is two-fold; First, the Wii-U version of the game would require the buyer to create a new Club Nintendo account to claim their purchase. Secondly, buying a new Wii-U would have the advantage over the other consoles by having a library already available to download.

    2. There would be very little risk, if any.

    • Yes, I know downloading data through your network costs money but a solution is already in play by Steam. There is a minimum payment required before steam keys unlock. The same system could be implemented to offset the load and cost on your network.

        3. This is an opportunity to put Nintendo's name out in a place where it will get a lot of attention and where it is not really expected.

      • This really explains itself.

Anywho, I just thought this would be a worthy suggestion to post. I'm pretty tired right now, so I think I am done for now. I'll post more details when I have had some sleep. Later guys and thanks for all the fun.
