Reaching Platinum now makes you eligible for next year's rewards, not this year's. So you couldn't pick one right now anyway.
Club Nintendo years are July 1st-June 30th. The rewards you see right now are for those who were platinum previously for 2013-2014.
But for your future reference, not choosing a reward does not let you pick the next year's.
