1. Offical Wii U Pro Controllers do come with charging cabels. 2. I believe it's a standard micro USB cable. Just about any should work.

I'm not sure but perhaps the connection is timing out before all the posts load or something.Perhaps your 3DS and Wii U internet settings need adjusting, or your modem or router's MTU setting.
