How to use Wii U Mii's for sports resort

Hello,

I am trying to play "Sports Resort", When i select game with Wii remote plus it says there is no Mii associated with the remote and it allows me to play only with guest Mii. Is there any way to use same Mii's as i use for Wii U games ?

BTY when i start "Sports Resort" it opens old wii menu and closes Wii U menu, Is this how old games work on Wii U?

Also there System transfer in menu which loads when i select sports resort, Can this be used to move Mii ? But i have only one console so this may not  be right option.
