I'm having the same problem, and I have my own thread: http://techforums.nintendo.com/thread/39068. I tried turning off the quick start menu, but that didn't solve my problem. I found that I get the 150-1031 error whenever there is a cutscene. I turned off midbattle cutscenes, and that sort of fixed the problem. However, my game still crashes because some cutscenes can't be turned off (like a getting an item from a treasure chest). The disc is clean and nothing has happened to it before it started happening (my game was in an untouched console for weeks and was being played constantly, so nothing could have possibly scratched or smudged the disc; it just started happening). I don't have any other games, so I can't decide if it's the console or the game. I tried troubleshooting, but I was instructed to send my console in for repairs...for $99. I'm sorry, but I got a brand new console for Christmas, so it shouldn't be broken after two months of use. I apparently don't have a warranty (like I said, this was given to me as a gift, so I don't know if it came with one or anything). No one has answered my question in my thread, so I thought I might have luck in here. Any other suggestions?
