Supported controllers for any given game will vary from game to game. So while you could use two Wii U Pro Controllers on the Skylanders: Swap Force game, the Skylanders: Trap Team game may be programmed to only use one Wii U Pro Controller at a time. You should be able to find more information about supported controller types in the electronic instruction manual, which can be accessed by pressing the Home button on the Wii U GamePad, then clicking on the "Manual" button while the Skylanders: Trap Team game is started. The back of the game box should also list supported controller types as well.
