I got my Wii U a few weeks ago as part of the Mario Kart 8 bundle. It's been working fine, until this evening. I watched some MythBusters on Netflix, then browsed Miiverse a bit, and then out of the blue, a pop-up comes up, saying that the WiiU couldn't connect to the internet. So I ran a Connection Test, and I get "Error code 103-1001." So I browse the Internet, and start a live chat with a Nintendo tech support representative. I then spent about 2 hours going through my router settings trying to get it to work, and nothing worked. I then found the steps listed above in this forum. Still nothing. No other device in my house is affected. I tried calling the tech support hotline, but they're busy.
I have a Linksys wireless router. Please help!
UPDATE: Ok, so after 3 hours of 3 different people trying to help me, the Stage 2 Tech support person I talked to finally suggested the unthinkable: TURNING THE WII U OFF... AND IT WORKED...
You'd think something as simple as that would be the VERY first thing to be done. And I feel stupid for not thinking of it myself, but when an error message says that the system can't connect to the internet, one wouldn't immediately think to turn it off and back on again...
